Avalin was born on Twin Pecan Farms May 5. 2012.Her name is derived for the modern Persian word which means first, since she was the first female alpaca born on the farm.She is the most curious of the alpacas in the herd, always ready to greet someone new entering the pasture.During her teen years, she demonstrated a bit of an onery attitude, but mellowed as she reached adulthood. She is very proud of her brown fleece, and protests loudly each spring when she is sheared.
