This class is designed for intermediate crocheters who are ready to take the next step in garment making. Throughout the course, you'll learn techniques that create a polished, professional finish while gaining a deeper understanding of crochet sweater construction.
During this class, you will learn:
- Crochet garment construction
- Working both flat and in the round
- Achieving accurate gauge for the perfect fit
- Creating beautiful textured stitch patterns
- Increasing and decreasing for shaping
- Reading stitch anatomy, including front, back, and third loops
- Slip stitch crochet techniques
- Seaming and professional finishing methods
- Creating a fold-over collar
- Applied ribbing worked perpendicular to the fabric
- Reading and confidently following garment patterns
Your instructor will guide you through each step of the sweater, helping you understand not only how to complete the project but also why each construction technique is used. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and confidence to tackle future crochet garments with ease.
Class Format: This class consists of six (6) two-hour sessions See Below dates:
- Class 1 - August 11, 6pm -8pm
- Class 2 - August 25, 6pm -8pm
- Class 3 - September 8, 6pm -8pm
- Class 4 - September 22, 6pm -8pm
- Class 5 - October 13, 6pm -8pm
- Class 6 - October 27, 6pm -8pm
The schedule allows plenty of time between classes to complete homework, practice new techniques, and stay on track with your sweater while receiving guidance and support throughout the project.
Skill Level: Intermediate Crochet
Prerequisites: This class is intended for intermediate crocheters. Students should be comfortable working the basic crochet stitches, including single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, and double crochet. Participants should also be able to follow a written crochet pattern independently and complete assigned homework between class sessions.

Important: If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled class sessions, a private make-up lesson may be arranged based on instructor availability. Private lesson fees apply and rates vary by instructor.
Cancellation Policy: We are excited to have you join us and appreciate your decision to learn with Yarn Therapy! Our instructors dedicate significant time to planning, preparing materials, and creating a meaningful learning experience for every class.
To ensure we can fairly support our instructors and class scheduling, cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the start of the first class are non-refundable. If you need to cancel within this timeframe, we will make every effort to fill your reserved seat. If we are successful in filling your spot, a refund may be issued at the discretion of Yarn Therapy. If we are unable to fill the vacancy, no refund will be provided.
