The Hexa-Cardigan is a fun, approachable garment that builds confidence while introducing the fundamentals of crocheting wearable pieces. If you’ve been curious about making garments but didn’t know where to start, this is it.

This course meets over three 2-hour sessions across 6 weeks, giving you plenty of time to crochet between classes while still having guidance and support along the way.

• How a hexagon cardigan is constructed
• How to take basic body measurements for garments
• How to read and follow a garment pattern
• Seaming sleeves and shaping your cardigan
• Customizing length and fit
• Optional ribbing techniques
• Finishing techniques including weaving in ends, washing, and blocking

🧶 Class Schedule

• Class 1: February 14 | 1:00–3:00 PM
  Start your first Hexa-Cardigan, learn how to measure your body, and how to read the pattern.
  Homework: Finish both “L” sections of your Hexa-Cardigan.
• Class 2: February 28 | 1:00–3:00 PM
  Learn how to seam sleeves, add to the back, finish sleeves, and adjust the length of your garment.
  Homework: Finish sleeves and desired garment length.
• Class 3: March 14 | 1:00–3:00 PM
  Learn how to add optional ribbing, weave in ends, and properly wash and block your finished cardigan.

• Must know how to chain
• Must know how to single crochet and double crochet

🧵 Materials Needed

• Yarn:
  • 4 balls of Jewelspun Aran or
  • 2 balls of Jewelspun Ombre
• Hook: US J-10 / 6.0 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
