Beginner Cables Knitting Class

Ready to add beautiful texture to your knitting? This beginner-friendly cables class is the perfect introduction to knitting cables with confidence. Over two weeks (1 hour each week), you’ll learn the fundamentals of cable knitting while creating a small project.

In this class, you will learn how to:

• Read and follow a cable chart

• Use cable needles with ease

• Knit classic cable stitches

• Finish your project using mattress stitch

Prerequisites:
Students must know how to knit, purl, and how to cast on.

Materials Needed:

• Knitting needles: either straight size 6 needles or a 24" circular size 6 needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)

• 1 cable needle

• 1 tapestry needle

• 274 yards of Light Weight (3) / DK weight yarn
