Yarn Therapy Class Policies & Registration
Information

At Yarn Therapy, we believe learning to knit or crochet should be enjoyable, encouraging, and inspiring. Whether you're picking up needles or a hook for the very first time or expanding your skills, our instructors are committed to helping you succeed. To ensure the best experience for everyone, please review our class policies before registering.

Registration

Registration is available:

Your seat is reserved once full payment has been received.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your place in class.

Class Prerequisites

Please review the class description carefully before registering. Many classes require previous knitting or crochet experience or pre-work to be completed before the first class. Meeting the listed prerequisites helps ensure you are prepared to learn the techniques being taught and allows the class to progress at the intended pace.

Age Requirements

Unless otherwise noted, classes are designed for students 13 years of age and older. Classes specifically intended for younger makers will be clearly identified as Kids' Classes.

Materials

Supplies are not included unless specifically stated in the class description. Each class includes a supply list, and our staff is happy to help you select the appropriate yarn, tools, and materials.

Attendance & Missed Classes

Many of our classes build upon skills learned in previous sessions, so regular attendance is encouraged.

If you miss a class in a multi-session series, private make-up lessons may be available based on instructor availability for an additional fee.

If you find that you need additional assistance outside of class, we're here to help! Students are always welcome to attend our designated Knit Nights and Crochet Nights, where instructors and experienced community members are available to offer guidance, answer questions, and help troubleshoot projects in a relaxed, social setting. If you would prefer
one-on-one instruction, private consultations can also be scheduled for an additional fee.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We know you're excited to take your class—and we're excited to have you! Our instructors invest significant time preparing lessons, organizing materials, and planning each class to provide the best learning experience possible.

To help us support both our instructors and fellow students, we ask that you observe the following cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations made 72 hours (3 days) or more before the first class will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the first class are non-refundable.
  • If you need to cancel within the 72-hour window, we will make every effort to fill your seat. If we are able to fill your spot, a refund may be issued at the discretion of Yarn Therapy.
  • Students who do not attend class without prior notice ("no-shows") are not eligible for a refund.
  • If Yarn Therapy must cancel a class for any reason, you may choose either a full refund or transfer your registration to another available class.

We understand that unexpected situations arise and appreciate your understanding. These policies allow us to fairly compensate our instructors for the time and preparation they dedicate to creating exceptional classes.
